To provide quality childcare services to our families, we ask that children attend the program daily, or as per the contracted hours. Children arriving after 10:00 am will not be admitted unless prior arrangements have been made with the administration or a medical reason. Children that have extended absences due to illness, vacation, or other reasons must inform the program 2 weeks in advance in writing prior to the absence. 

Excused Absences
If your child is absent, the tuition remains the same. After 6 months of enrollment, full-time students will be allowed one week of vacation time which tuition is not charged. After 18 months of enrollment, full-time students will be allowed 10 days of vacation time which tuition is not charged. If the child(ren) is out sick, and the doctor’s note requires them to be out for 2 or more consecutive days tuition will be discussed. When you sign your child’s enrollment form, you are signing for regular weekly attendance at Kidd’s R Us. You may not make modifications to your daily attendance pattern without the permission of the Director.

Unexcused Absences

• Family vacations.
• Non-Medical appointments.
• Babysitting.
• Absence for any other reason that does not meet the criteria of an excused absence.
• A student who is absent from school without notice.

Arrival
Upon arrival, parents must sign your children in before leaving the childcare program. Put all diaper bags and extra clothing in the child’s cubby or bin. Label soothers and put all bottles that need to be kept cold in the refrigerator. Talk to a staff member and relate how your child’s night and morning went. Take time to settle your child and say goodbye

Departure
Upon departure, parents must sign their child out with time child is leaving and please make personal contact with a staff member. Kidd’s R Us staff will phone parents or guardians when a child has missed three consecutive days of daycare. Establish with parents or guardians the reason for the absence. If after two weeks the staff have been unable to reach the parents, the child will be dismissed from the program.
